We just Jumped the Shark

Christianity just jumped the shark in the US. The Judgment for this nation is now upon us. May God be merciful. We must never ever allow a Muslim to be president again.

Bit.ly/NotIslam

Islam is directly opposite of Christianity and our constitution and especially our country.

Here is a short link: bit.ly/Godstates Obama is completely wrong.

  4. Ok, I'm getting sick of the constant paranoid religous right rantings about Obama, simply because he didn't suck up to you people like Bush did. If you really want to see some paranoid brainless rantings, check out the Rapture Ready site:

Reward for Obama's REAL Birth Certificate that nonesense has been settled already, If Obama makes this site illegal..., just look at what they say right off thet bat in that thread, Obama's Torture Policy for the Unborn (morons..why don't they tell us just how Bush and Co. worked to oppose abortion? What laws they passed and how they overturned Roe vs. Wade? That's right, they never! Yet a democrat comes along and implies or says that they're pro-choice and all of a sudden you people crucify him.)

    http://www.rr-bb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73

Hell, just look around that site, or go to fstdt.com for more such quotes.

Then there's Rush Limbaugh and his ilk who are actively hoping that Obama fails in everything he does, and then there's the talk in Texas of "secession"...

Good grief. The rest of the states had to put up with 8 years of Bush yet they never whined so much as you people are already whining about Obama.

And it's not just him...when the RR people thought that Hillary Clinton was in the running, they had a bunch of threads whinging about how scared they were of her.

    If you're a democrat, it's automatic.

You know what? I think it's safe to say that we're sick of your paranoia, your whining, etc. Suck it up, princesses.

We had to for 8 years.

  5. I think God will respect out respect for religious freedom.

I think the people who will need God's mercy will the one's that want to impose their beliefs and dogmas on others - not the people who stand up for free speech and tolerance.

Sorry Dan, I think you're way off base on the post. I know you feel passionate about sticking to your republication right-wing dogma, but you should attack democratic things that are worth attacking - there's nothing wrong with what the President said in this piece.

  6. Religious freedoms, just like in Turkey?

The days of secular Turkey are numbered, and persecution of Christians on the rise.

Turkey was one of the very few nations in the ME who had a decent relationship with Israel, but that is changing dramatically.

Turkey is holding joint military exercises with Israel's sworn enemy, Syria.

Dan, to be fair, Christianity jumped the shark a long, long time ago in the USA. The great apostasy is fulfilled here more than any other place on earth. Bush was no more a Christian than Obama is. The GOP no more righteous than the DEMS.

The USA is in every way the equivalent of Israel 2000 yrs ago.
Feeling entitled, honoring God with their mouths but their hearts are far from Him.

God has given the USA over to Satan and it will be judged and soon. Then God will turn His focus on Zion. All things being fulfilled.

Zec 1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

Why would God respect our request for religious freedom?

Maybe I am not understanding your point but it seems that God is not into religious freedom. After all, He did only give us ONE way to salvation and He is very particular about the fact that we do things His way.

  17. I'm really not sure where the problem lies with Obama's honest statement. Despite its ostensible majority, Christianity is far too polarized itself to be classified as the religion of this country. Considering the explicit text of the First Amendment, and the clear wording of both the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution itself, the nonsensical notion propagated by paranoid delusionals (read: Christians) that the U.S. is, or should be, a "Christian Nation" is beyond absurd.

Of course, these nuts abound, as in Rhuiden (or is it "Tom"?):

Every time he speaks he demonstrates that he has no concept of what true Christianity is.

...just as every time a different Christian speaks, a different version of True Christianity™ emerges... Hold a conference or something.

He also shows us that he has no understanding of what our nation stands for and how it came to be that way.

What ignorant tripe. "What our nation stands for" is a moving target, since "our nation" consists of people, who live and die and have changing opinions and understanding.

So the first part is pure bullshit.

"How it came to be that way"?! You mean, that the U.S. came about by rebelling against imposed religion? That the U.S. Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution, at best merely pay lip service to the notion of god, by referring enigmatically to a "Creator"? That the very first amendment to that Constitution explicitly separated the affairs of the church from the affairs of the state? That the 1797 -- that's 1797 -- Treaty of Tripoli explicitly states, in Article 11, that, "the Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."?

Learn to read, "Tom," and get back to us when you come to grips with reality.

I'm guessing it's because you have a habit of backing the loser...

Well, I guess that is a fitting comment on this post considering the title, but no. I back the truth and the right thing. Dr. Paul would of been, especially in light of the current economy, the right man for the job. Hopefully people will, at the very least, support his HR 1207. Dr. Paul would of done the right thing to get this economy back on tract and tackle the issues with reason. Which is something very foreign with these two failed parties.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I didn't vote for Ron Paul and think he is really "out there" on many issues but in light of what we are now getting I wish I had voted for him. How he would have addressed the economics issues would be very welcome compared to Obama's way.

What conservatives need to do right this minute is to start grooming someone that can win in 2012, no more novelty acts like McCain/Palin. Obama is shaping up in my mind to become at the very least a 4 year president, at his worst, the most problematic president we have ever experienced. And to be honest, this clip, though obviously untroubling to me, is the least of his problems. This atheist isn't too crazy about socialism, and this atheism hates big government.

Smart man, you do know your weapons. At this late in the game you are right and there really is no better choice in this Cali environment of massive restrictions. I have retrained myself, from the military, to like pumps and revolvers for their reliability, but those semi's hold a soft spot in my heart. I must resist the Remington 1100 pull.

As far as Ammo I thought Arizona had zero restrictions. :7) You are correct though, things will get harder and harder to buy and when things bottom out you will be kicking yourself for not acquiring those extra 1000 rounds.

I am inspired to post about something, your answers sparked my curiosity. Go figure

    ReplyDelete
  40. Dan, there are no restrictions in Arizona about ammo, but no one can get any in, the stores I mean. Try this for an experiment, go online or to a store, say walmart or a gun store and try to buy 357mag, 38, 9mil, 45acp. You'll be suprised, they have none. It's legal to buy ammo online and you can't find any site that has any ammo left.

Wow ammo is certainly scarce. It sure is getting worse then I thought.

Yea, besides all the blasphemy, the 556 SWAT is my all time favorite. Then I found out, at the gun show, they are illegal here in California! Grrr

They are so over regulated, like non removable mags and 10 round maximum mags, to negate the reason and purpose for the weapon. I am sure also to insure you will lose any battle. The Cali regulation are pure crap. Pure garbage. Enough so that I will move back to either CO or TX if things get real bad to load up.

Wow no ammo left...scary. I will keep searching. I found all sorts at the Gun Show maybe you need to go to them.

  44. 1) The M-4 (semi) is legal (in most states), and if you can't find 5.56mm (.223) ammunition, you don't know how to look.

    2) Why the urge to purchase so much weaponry, specifically the sort designed explicitly for the taking of human life? I appreciate a quality firearm, and I love target shooting (I don't hunt), but you're talking about trench guns as though that's how you intend on using them. What gives?

    --
    Stan

    ReplyDelete
  45. Stan,

That is true about the M-4 but Cali. has restricted the type of M-4 allowed. If it doesn't have the non removable, without a tool, magazine and a maximum magazine limit to 10 rounds then it is illegal. I don't hunt either but I will if I have to feed the family.

The main purpose for the weapons I seek is for human lead consumption. :7) For the ones trying to violate my rights as established by our constitution. Terrorist mainly. This government may fail to ensure our rights are not violated. Worst case they may be the ones violating those rights. I am a law abiding citizen and I expect our government to do the same. At this point with the lying, torturing, and political treason this government is untrustworthy at the least, and criminal at the most.

  47. The main purpose for the weapons I seek is for human lead consumption.

Say what you mean. You are contemplating killing people, and you are relishing the thought.

    :7)

Passive-aggressive smileys are not acceptable in this context, unless you're actually joking, which the conversation to this point makes clear is not the case.

For the ones trying to violate my rights as established by our constitution.

Then join the fucking military (again -- try the Army this time). It's impossible to violate the rights established in, or more precisely amended to, the U.S. Constitution, when the "violation" comes in the form of Constitutional Amendment. That's not a violation, even though you may disagree with the law being applied, but it's democracy in action -- representative democracy -- and if you don't like it, start a campaign to change the system, leave, or rebel outright.

    Terrorist [sic] mainly.

I don't suppose you've ever actually seen a confirmed terrorist, have you? In the state of California? Anywhere close to where you live? Are you sure you're not "mainly" seeking to kill Santa Claus? After all, you've never seen him, either...

This government may fail to ensure our rights are not violated.

Again, this is impossible. If the government restricts your rights, they are not violated, per se, but are revoked and/or restricted. The only way the government could do as you describe is to fail to respond to an invasion. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen, and if it did, the preservation of your rights as outlined by our government would be the least of your worries.

Do you not understand what a representative democracy is? It doesn't mean you get to do whatever suits your whimsy -- up to and including the ownership and purchase of certain sorts of firearms -- it means you get to cast your vote, and the majority, or a plurality, of the vote, or a majority/plurality of representative votes, determines what are and are not "rights." I really wonder just where you think you live. Pick up a book on U.S. History, the Constitution and/or Constitutional Law, Civics, or something, and read it. From the sounds of things, you have a lot to learn...

Worst case they may be the ones violating those rights.

Impossible, as detailed above, but wait...

I am a law abiding citizen and I expect our government to do the same.

You're not a law-abiding citizen if you are contemplating murder. You are not a law-abiding citizen if you promote treason and/or rebellion. Quite technically, such actions necessarily describe a terrorist (Note: the participants in the Boston Tea Party were terrorists, as were all of the rebels in the Revolutionary War). Irrespective of whether or not I agree with your sentiment (I don't, in most of this), and regardless of whether or not your sentiment is "correct," if you think that the government is so terrible, and if you [evidently] feel there is no hope for internal change (through the system), perhaps you should  leave -- but based on your opinions and stated wishes, only a place as chaotic as Somalia would truly suit your needs. There, you could own any weapon you could afford, and use it as you see fit. Is that really what you want?

At this point with the lying, torturing, and political treason this government is untrustworthy at the least, and criminal at the most.

No. You're confusing the government with the people who work in the government. They may be guilty of all of your accusations, but not the government itself -- for the government is of, for, and by the people, if you remember.

Mind you, I'm by no means defending the actions of individual politicians, political parties, or branches of government, and, by extension, neither am I defending the American people -- I think the country is chock full of complete dipshits, and the greed which your precious capitalist system perpetuates permeates everything, and if nothing else in the bible is true, its indictment of the love for money most certainly is true, or is the most likely candidate.

Uninformed voters, casting their pearly votes before swinish politicians, have created an environment ideally suited for corruption. It should come, then, as no surprise that the bacteria we encounter is perfectly adapted to the evolutionary niche so generated.

Rather than stockpiling firearms, then, with the stated purpose of "human lead consumption," stop being a dick, and seek to educate yourself and your fellow citizen, or get the fuck out.

(No, I'm not one of those, "If you don't like it here, leave," kind of assholes, but with an eye toward reality, if the system cannot be repaired from within, and one is there stifled, the most logical course of action is to exit, and attempt a repair from without. Once again, change the system from within, openly rebel, or leave. I see no other viable options.)

  48. Stan,

Also, things between the constitution and the government are being blurred.

On the subject of target practice, it is great fun for the whole family. Replacing the target with a real target just takes some adjustments. :7) My favorite target practice was with a 20mm on the ship, that had a leather seat that clipped in with joysticks for handles and it floated effortlessly. It has a hologram site dot to target with that was very accurate. We targeted at 55 gallon drums in the ocean. Literally the best time of my life. Ah good times. I loved it!

  49. Stan totally ingnored my cutesy post, how unfortunate. As long as there are guys out there who want to overpower me or my family, rob, steal or molest, a weapon is the next best thing to invincibility, well, aside from good common sense.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Stan,

You're confusing the government with the people who work in the government.

Touché, up to the point when the government is not willing or effective to prosecute for the evil their people are doing. Then the system itself is failing or failed. That is possibly the time to entertain moving away from this country if possible or allowed. You don't have to look too far of a corrupt system to find the corrupt people that voted for the corruption in the first place. And that just may be where we are at today. We lost our way, we need our constitutional compass back.

Once again, change the system from within, openly rebel, or leave. I see no other viable options.

I perfectly understand and agree. I intend to do just that. We are suppose to be the salt of the earth and I will not sit silently by watching this corruption run a muck. 'We the People' can make the change.

I am not being condescending when I say this, especially to you, but you do understand why our Founding Fathers gave us the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments right? The Bill of Rights soul purpose was to prevent the government from being too large to "take over" and that 'we the people' would have the fighting chance to regain the power we gave away. The entire United States owes its existence to the "civil" disobedience of the people. Remember the British?

Andrew is also right, when chaos ensues and the crazies come after me and mine the lead is a waiting.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Stan totally ingnored my cutesy post, how unfortunate.

Forgive me, Andrew, but your behavior isn't exactly easy to gauge...

As long as there are guys out there who want to overpower me or my family, rob, steal or molest, a weapon is the next best thing to invincibility...

I have no qualms with this, but instead with Dan's stated wish to shoot someone. He's gone beyond mere self-defense, to the active desire to be intruded upon, specifically so that he can feel justified in taking life.

    Of course...

...well, aside from good common sense.

...which, if you're lacking, I suppose a good Boomstick is better than a lopped-off hand with a chainsaw attached...

    Shop smart, shop S-mart, right?

I would love to have an M-4, but I can't convince my wife it's a worthy investment... It's not really worth the fuss, and she's right -- the ~$2,000 could go toward quite a lot otherwise, that is worthy of investment. It would be a toy, nothing more, and really, if someone breaks in while you're home, and you even have a firearm immediately handy, it's probably not a rifle, or even a shotgun -- it's probably a handgun. In such a case, however, the criminal deserves to be shot -- he should've waited until you went to the movies, and stole your shit (including the shotgun and rifle) while you were gone...

Who are we kidding, really? The odds of an at-home break-in, or similar attack, are vanishingly small. The odds of having a shotgun and/or assault rifle at the ready are smaller still, and the odds of actually needing to use either are drastically lower even than this. Your phone is the more powerful weapon, and it's probably already in your pocket -- and it's not restricted in any state, except perhaps while driving.

We want personal firearms for fun -- for target practice -- or for hunting, or for murdering. I'm in the first category only. Dan seems to be in the first and third.

Okay, long enough... I have to respond to Dan, after all...

  52. We lost our way, we need our constitutional compass back.

I don't necessarily disagree -- but the way to recapture the use of the compass is to teach others how to use it, not to cry that it doesn't work, or to threaten to keel-haul anyone who refuses to use one. If your efforts are ignored or actively snuffed, you can either abandon ship, or mutiny.

'We the People' can make the change.

"Can," as in "are capable" -- no implication regarding will is extant. The people can, but will they...?

[Y]ou do understand why our Founding Fathers gave us the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments right?

More than you know. They didn't want the crimes to which they'd been subjected by the might of King George to be visited upon the citizenry of the newfound nation. They wanted that citizenry to have the means to prevent anything of the sort from materializing, and to actively fight against any such attempts. Hell, Jefferson wanted a rebellion every twenty years or so...

You may even be surprised to know that I feel the Second Amendment was written with the intent that every citizen could privately own any weapon system he could afford -- the "well armed militia" was meant precisely as a defensive force, to defend against both foreign and domestic threats; from external as well as internal aggressors. If I could afford an Apache helicopter, or a Bradley Fighting Vehicle, the Second Amendment grants me the right to own one. The term "arms" was not ambiguous -- it referred to the available arms at the time, not just "hunting" rifles, or "small arms."

Additionally, I feel that every American citizen, on his -- or her -- 18th (or 21st) birthday, should be required to complete a firearm safety course, and provided the opportunity to acquire a concealed weapons permit and a handgun. If everyone were potentially armed, people would learn very quickly to be a hell of a lot nicer to one another, and gun-related crime, following a brief and dramatic increase, would tail away to nothing...

...either that, or the population would.

I fully understand the feelings of blood lust and revenge but that is not what I am talking about. When evil shows himself in my own home I have, not only a right, but a duty to protect my family. What I need to contemplate, on a real serious level though, is what if that evil has a government patch on their arm. If there still is a system in place then I would go quietly and fight very hard in the courts. If we get thrown back to a system that needs abandoning then...

Everything you said after "More than you know.", was poetry to me, a true constitutionalist in our mists. Yet another reason why I enjoy your conversations.

Free Ammo Day would be a form of socialism I would sign up for. Patty hate guns and I agree because of all the curious kids around but in forward thinking I would feel much better with something if the bottom drops out.

Andrew does has the right thinking though. In a sky's the limit scenario the SIG 556, M4, or 50 cal. sniper rifle would be fun toys but in my real world a Rem 870 will do the job just fine... with a quad rail of course for more toy attachments. :7)

My Dad has a small .44 Magnum, (looks like the 325 Night Guard) he says its all he will ever need. He might have a point.

  56. Ah, guns.
I liked target shooting in the desert until my pal blew his eye out with a hot bullet.

I decided I would never bear one unless I was in uniform.

But I will be in uniform soon enough. sigh.
