Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident.” This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another.

We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

Then there are the wolves and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy. Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

Then there are sheepdogs and I’m a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf. Or, as a sign in one California law enforcement agency put it, “We intimidate those who intimidate others.”

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen: a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath–a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? Then you are a sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero’s path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids’ schools. But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid’s school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep’s only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.

Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn’t tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports, in camouflage fatigues, holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, “Baa.” Until the wolf shows up. A New Hope?

I saw some encouraging words today in one of my long discussions somewhere else:

This last comment actually moved me. I may not be fully convinced, but I think I will keep talking to religious people I know in person or find on the internet. This was what I said to him before:

"...I see, and understand, your struggle. The Bible is very clear why you're struggling. The Bible states you're suppressing the truth in your unrighteousness. It's willful. God also says that you will not get to knowledge without repentance. 2 Corinthians 3:15-16 points that repentance comes before knowledge of truth, not after: 2 Timothy 2:24-26 It also says that God will not refuse anyone seeking Him, but you cannot approach God in arrogance. Psalms 51:17 states how to approach the Creator of our universe. Doubtful folding arms will not get any results. He gave you His absolute promise if you do this, He will open your understanding of Him, even more: John 14:21 spells it out. I get it though, we seem crazy and wishful, but we aren't. I have 6 kids and the greatest wife on the planet. I am also a grandfather. I am not some false preacher here, like a Benny Hinn or Joel Osteen, that attempt to discourage rational people. Keep seeking.

Talking to skeptical people is like talking to a 19 year old kid who just broke up with his first love. He feels there is no way to continue without her, that life has ended, etc. But when you talk to him when he is 24 and ask him to recall those beliefs, he is embarrassed as to the way he was acting in his young 19 year old beliefs, and it seems absurd to him now. I was raised in an atheistic home, and I could NEVER, ever return back to those beliefs. I know now. God manifested Himself in such a large way to me that it would be impossible to turn from it. I feel your struggle, as I was there myself. But, if I were you, I would spend however long it takes begging God to grant you that gift of repentance.

When I was 23, I'm 47 now, I got real serious exploring the truth of the claims of God. God granted me repentance, even though it was undeserved, and it took 10 years to finally get to the point of being a Christian. When I see you in Heaven, I will be so grateful and celebrate with you for all eternity, having good laughs about these times together when we both almost didn't make it. I cannot wait. I will continue to trust that God answered my prayers about you. Please let me know when you find Him, if you're looking that is.

BTW, baby steps first. For now all you seem to have is gripes and complaints that can be accounted for, and justified, within our Christian worldview, but impossible to address within an atheistic worldview. Milk before meat. Terms like bad, evil, and wrong comport with my worldview, because we have that absolute standard of good, but not an atheistic worldview which denies that standard source called God. Hate to break this news to you, but the Bible calls you an antichrist: 1 John 2:22, 1 John 4:3, 1 John 2:18 Fight to shed that label from the Creator of the universe, before it's too late. Gun Control

Real men, like this, are helping me restore my beliefs in most of us, and makes me very proud to be an American. I cannot stress hard enough for people to wake up, get involved, and to fight for our rights; to defend our Constitution, before these professional politicians take away our RIGHT to defend our own homes. Max Keiser reported about it, and as I was watching the program I had a moment of pause as to what was actually happening here. The conversation about gold is everywhere now; we see many shows about mining for gold for our entertainment; many commercials and ads about taking gold off our hands, are all increasing dramatically.

Pointless Prepping

About a week ago, an Atheist asked me what I was doing to prepare for the upcoming 12/21/2012. My answer was that I was going to do the dishes preparing for the next day, nothing more.

I am not worried about the solar flares, pole reversals, or asteroids hitting us. What I observe are the criminal enterprises of our times. Namely, the central banks and the governments. THAT is the most horrifying thing that we face in these times, if you are to worry about something. Why? Because evil exists.

So how do you prepare for that? You don't. All you can do is get right with God. Repent and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ with your heart, mind, and soul. He may not make this ride we are on any more comfortable but when the smoke clears we will be with God in an eternal, righteous, world. THAT is the day my family and I are fully prepared for.

So we will go about our lives and watch as our governments destroy the economies and usher in a world currency due to the monetary deflation wars currently going on, as revealed in this video.

Matthew 6:25-34 instructs us not to worry, but to "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you."

We are prepared because...

Quantum Nonlocality

He is an evolutionist, a believer in reincarnation, and does not believe in Jesus Christ as God. He wrote the textbooks for students of Quantum Mechanics. So, why am I writing about him? He is a scientist, a professor, that shows evidence for downward causation. That is why.

I saw some video interviews on YouTube where he made some very good points also and I will post them at the end for those that wish to explore his research more. I was very excited, speaking of "Ah ha" moments, to hear him lay out the reason why the materialist fight and resist, tooth and nail, science that reveals the truth about downward causation that he even refuses to call God, but we know better. The paradoxes in science can be eliminated when this one point is realized. More on that later.

OK, let's make the case. Quantum physics states that objects are not determined things. Objects are actually quantum possibilities for consciousness to choose from. Be it material things, thinking, intuit, etc. Waves of possibilities into a conscious choice into an actual event of experience.

When In Doubt, Deny!

It all started with Alex daring me to go onto his podcast in early September at my Facebook group. After many conversations in the group, he did not pull any punches to get me on, and also posted about it. By the grace of God, something happened though.

I just witnessed something great and I wanted to share. I listened to David Smart discussing things with Alex and Jim (as a part 5?) and it was jaw dropping and can be dissected here for months.

Hurt Feelings?

These days the atheists are acting very sensitive and whining about how their feelings are hurt because they glance at a cross or become offended because someone says the word God somewhere. Hogwash! Should we adjust our standards of living to accommodate their standards of living because these supposedly hyper sensitive people are offended?

Nope! Thankfully to God Almighty, the courts still have some sense to thwart these types of attacks  and the 7th Circuit dismisses the Atheists legal challenge to National Day of Prayer. What I found interesting in the finding is that just because their feelings were hurt DOES NOT mean its grounds for injury.

“Hurt feelings differ from legal injury,” the appeals court said in Freedom From Religion Foundation v. Obama.

This is on the heals of a street being named “Seven in Heaven Way”

Christians certainly have to ride the buses with those offensive signs plastered all over that say "There's probably no God". I do not see the Atheists complaining that our rights are violated.  That gets me thinking though, if it was a deliberate act to remove rights of others, like these Atheists themselves are doing, there might be a case. We have more of a case then the Atheists because we are expressing ourselves, the Atheists are literally ATTACKING our expressions and freedoms. 

Dr. William Lane Craig's Fanboy

Is there any wonder why I love Dr. William Lane Craig and many Atheists despise him? I can see why now y'all call him names and attempt to discount him. He is, quite literally, dangerous to your beliefs and religion. God has certainly blessed this man. Wow, that just had to hurt. His cuts run deep, although I doubt this will be acknowledged by any Atheists. These 5 points would be a good poster on my wall.

5 things that cannot be scientifically evidenced, but we're all rational to accept:

1. Logical and mathematical truths, science presupposes logic and math.
2. Metaphysical truths. Like the universe was created 5 minutes ago with the appearance of age.
3. Ethical beliefs and statements of value
4. Aesthetic judgments. Beautiful, like the good, cannot be scientifically proven
5. Science ITSELF cannot be justified by the scientific method. Its also permeated with unprovable assumptions.

Set An Extra Plate On May 21st, 2011?

Shall we set a place for Christ at dinner time? Hardly. Craziness is upon us though.

Someone linked to me a pretty good description of the case built for the perceived Judgment Day, that we're all hopeful for, in a few days. May 21,2011 to be exact.

Now the thought of it does, I will admit, get me giddy as a school girl inside. To rationally believe it will happen? I cannot trust it. The Bible says not to. Way too much has to happen, as described in the Bible, that yet has come to fruition.

Gulp, I just said this as Obama was speaking about Israel today. Yikes! (More on that in a moment)

Don't get me wrong I am one to believe the winding clock is losing its spring tension and that stopping moment is very near. All evidence points to it. It will be abrupt and sudden but not in a few days. We all can feel the apocalyptic times we are currently in though. If you don't feel it winding down, then you're in denial.

I cannot relate to a time back when Christians saw Hitler come into power and sold everything and waited around for the Messiah's coming, only to be very disappointed when He never got there. I wasn't there to feel such a powerful time, as a believer might have. I would like to think I wouldn't of run around like a headless chicken, but I would have certainly discussed the possibility if it was actually that time or not. This brings me to this post's point. Why set ourselves up for falls and further skepticism? It just does not make sense AT ALL. Who cares if you're right or wrong first?

I believe its merely a money thing. It makes a great story to sell. What else can it be? A Cure for Cancer will not even hit the media headlines, if money is not involved! Its all for money, the love of which is the root of ALL evil.

Fill the pews for a few days? Fill the collection plates? Why? What happens on May 22nd? Empty pews again. We should NEVER want to merely fill the pews or go after the quick buck in book sales. We seek to get soundly saved Christians, for all eternity, no matter when Christ comes. The urgency is there, but an exact date? Dangerous and pointless.

The Bible is clear that NO MAN, or angel, will know that exact date when Christ comes. Period. How do we KNOW this?

Personal Revelations

Look, I cannot explain every personal revelation in my life, a past post tried to list some of the examples, but two that are examinable are the Bible and the nature around us. How do I know this? God revealed it. God revealed that He can be trusted. God revealed this as His work.

Oh but you have. You just deny God, His Word, and His revelations. You ignore the signs. No surprise there. Are you seeking God as instructed in His Word. It was two years after reading the Bible for the very first time in my life. I believe I was 25 or so. A cranky older woman had a flat tire one Sunday morning and pulled up to where I was working. She barked for me to call a tow truck because she had a flat. She was very short. I said I would change it for her if she had the spare. So, in record time I might add, I changed it. She tried to hand me money. I refused. She forcefully insisted. She was getting angry even. I stopped her and said "If I take your money then I changed that tire for a different reason then I did it for" She stopped in shock, started to cry. She said in her 80 years that has never happened to her. She placed both her old cold hands on my face and said something like "you gave me faith again" whatever that meant. She thanked me and left still crying many tears. It was moving. Is it a mere coincidence that an elderly jaded hardened lady had a flat tire at my place to have some semblance of hope in humanity restored?

But the real kicker to what happened is I saw God for what He is. Love. It moved me more then it moved that lady I believe. I am still in awe as to witness that lady's metamorphose. I still cannot stop thinking of that then cranky woman. I am grateful for that day. I am certain that she will be there to greet me when I pass. How do I know? God is revealing it to me as I am writing this. He is placing unquestionable assurance in my soul and instincts. How is He doing that? I have no clue.

I am sure you have an atheistic naturalistic counter as to what may have happened, but it will be a pointless exercise to convince me otherwise. It would be like trying to convince me that I am a lion trapped in a man's body, or something else just as absurd.

Has anything happened to you that you would be hard pressed to explain it away, even as a mere coincidence?

Predestination for Atheists?

A while ago Stan, the Half-Truth Teller claimed "It's funny, really, that among the few philosophical points on which many atheists and theists can agree is the notion of predestination...predestination is analogous to Atheism..."

Today he asks "According to [you and Christian theology], did god plan for there to be a hell, populated by the vast majority of humanity for eternity?"

We were discussing a few days ago about the order of God's choices. So it might be interesting then to explore things further to understand Atheists viewpoints in relationship to predestination.

A couple of terms that needs to be fleshed out, infralapsarianism and supralapsarianism which are terms used to describe differences of the perceived order of God's work in salvation.

In infralapsarianism the order is as follows: 1) God created, 2) God permitted the fall, 3) God elected some out of this fallen state to be saved, 4) God provided a Redeemer for the elect, and 5) God sent the Holy Spirit to apply redemption to the elect.

In supralapsarianism the order is as follows: 1) God elected some to be saved and some not to be saved, 2) God created, 3) God permitted the fall, 4) God provided a Redeemer for the elect, and 5) God sent the Holy Spirit to apply redemption to the elect.

Holidays, ...Meh

I was considering doing a post about this subject, then I read over at Triablogue, who asked the question "Why December 25?"

So, this is my perspective.

A good tree will bear good fruit. Is Christmas good fruit? You decide, because I certainly have.

I know our President wants Christmas to be a large part of America. Many don't know the true origins.

So, let the bridges I burn light my way. To truth.

Colossians 2:16-17 is clear, you make choices for your own families.

One verse says it all, Romans 14:5 "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

In my home we do not celebrate Christmas. Like a friend said, "we celebrate Christ's birth every single day" Over commercialization, covetous children to objects, lying to children, worshiping false idols are not good fruit to me. I also hold a strong refusal to go into debt for anyone, especially for holidays.

Now, we can debate how Christmas started. Do the 12 Christmas myths debunked, even. Whether in 336 it was the RCC that chose to honor the birthday of the Christ since it was already a well loved holiday because in 274, December 25th, the Winter Solstice was celebrated because Aurelian [a Roman emperor] instituted the cult of Sol Invictus and thus a major feast day throughout the Roman Empire.
